Land Acquisition Manager for onshore wind and solar PV

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Manager to lead the expansion of our onshore wind and solar PV portfolio throughout the German market. This role offers you the opportunity to join a dedicated project development team and a company in expansion, while changing the renewable energy landscape.

Responsibilities

As our Land Acquisition Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the transition to cleaner energy. Your ability to connect with landowners and valuable network will be essential in identifying opportunities, forging partnerships, and discovering new project opportunities for the successful expansion of our business. Your role will be hybrid and besides discovering new opportunities and working out project proposals from our office in Kreuzberg, you’ll also spend time on the road visiting local stakeholders and project sites.  Your role will involve a hybrid approach, incorporating field visits to engage with local stakeholders and project sites, while also discovering new opportunities and working out project proposals from our office in Kreuzberg. 

• Sourcing opportunities: Utilize your comprehensive network and understanding of the in-dustry to discover and create new developments and grow our project pipeline from the grassroots.
• Negotiations: Negotiate terms, contracts, and agreements with landowners and potential development partners. Ensure that agreements align with company objectives and are mutually beneficial.
• Project evaluation: Evaluate project feasibility, potential risks, and project opportunities. Provide recommendations on the most promising projects to pursue, considering their alignment with business goals.
• Strategic partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to drive business development efforts. Collaborate with stakeholders to expand our project pipeline and explore new opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Higher level of education within engineering, agriculture or business development, ideally with a focus on renewable energy or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in the renewables sector, real estate developments, land surveyor or other infrastructure projects where land acquisition is the key for success. Candidates with less or other relevant experience are still encouraged to apply if they bring an extensive network or project proposals.
• Language Competence: Fluent German communication skills for effective collaboration. Additional languages such as English are an advantage.
