The Opportunity 

Step into a dynamic role within Copenhagen Energy’s Legal Department. You will contribute to our global operations across the Copenhagen Energy Group, including power and algorithmic trading (Copenhagen Energy Trading) and renewable energy projects in onshore wind, solar PV, and battery storage. 
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will work on key legal and commercial matters and collaborate with external advisors, partners, and public authorities to ensure sound legal processes across the organization. 
This position carries a high level of responsibility and requires you to operate autonomously across both large-scale projects and day-to-day legal matters. You will be working independently and expected to structure and prioritize your workload effectively, managing multiple assignments simultaneously. Strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and attention to detail are critical to maintaining the legal integrity of our operations. Equally important is your ability to communicate legal insights clearly and effectively when collaborating across teams within the organization. 
In addition to daily tasks, you will have the opportunity to improve and streamline legal processes in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. 

Your Role 
You’ll work with: 

• Legal support: Provide various ad hoc legal support and advice to internal stakeholders. 

• Corporate and commercial law: You will support a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters, including drafting and maintaining land lease agreements, purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other commercial contracts. In addition, you will manage corporate documentation, assist with company formations and group structure updates, contribute to M&A processes such as due diligence and transaction documentation, and support the continued development and implementation of our contract management system. 

• Templates: Prepare and manage legal templates, policies, and procedures to streamline operations. 

• Contract management: Maintain and oversee the contract management system, ensuring all contracts are updated, accessible, and compliant with legal standards. This includes fulfilling key term overviews and handling ad hoc contract requests. 

• External relations: Collaborate with external legal advisors, collaborative partners, counterparties, and public authorities to manage legal processes. 

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant academic background: Currently enrolled in a Danish law or commercial law program (bachelor or master’s), preferably in the final year of their bachelor’s or pursuing a master’s degree. 
• Proactive and independent: You take initiative, work independently, and take ownership of your responsibilities, ensuring steady progress without the need for close supervision. 
• Highly structured and detail-oriented: You work systematically with strong attention to detail, maintain clear oversight of multiple assignments, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. 
• Fast-paced environment: Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 
• Technical skills: Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office; experience with document management and editing is a plus. 
• Location and availability: Able to work from our office in Carlsberg Byen, Copenhagen, for a minimum of 15 hours per week. 
• Language proficiency: Professional proficiency in both Danish and English, enabling clear communication within our international team.
